The day begins with breakfast, served daily from 8 to 10 am. From Tuesday to Sunday we lay the tables again from 2 pm: coffee and cake in the afternoon, hearty cooking and wine from our own estate in the evening. All to soft music and a view across the river, under the awnings when it rains, and indoors behind large panoramic windows on cooler days.

A generous buffet of regional produce, behind large windows looking out over the terrace and the Rhine. The meat comes from our butcher on the Mosel, the eggs from Eierjupp, and more producers from the neighbourhood.
Crumble cake and gâteaux from our in-house confectioner, Hans Kellner, with speciality coffees, made with oat milk or decaf if you prefer. Best enjoyed in the front row, as the ships drift by.
Tarte flambée, a hearty goulash pot and tapas in a jar to go with your wine. The wine comes from Weingut Karl Schön, the family wine estate, now in its ninth generation: grown in Rüdesheim, pressed here in the house and served by the carafe.
From 6 to 9 pm our cook from Assmannshausen takes care of you: pork cheeks, slowly braised in the classic way with dumplings, red cabbage and plenty of gravy; spaghetti with herb pesto, with chicken breast or garlic prawns; and baked feta. The meat comes from our butcher on the Mosel.
The wisteria above our terrace is some 200 years old. When it rains, you can still sit outside under the awnings, and when the air turns cooler, you enjoy the Rhine from indoors, behind large panoramic windows.
When the kitchen takes a break, the bar stays open on trust: help yourself at reduced prices, pay in cash or jot down your room number and settle up at check-out.
