Wiebke Sonnabend & Robin Bremer
We have always been drawn to the water. We love to travel, and along the way we have felt time and again what makes a good house: people who care, a place with character, and the feeling of being truly welcome.
Our story together begins in Kassel. We studied there, and it was there that we became a couple eleven years ago. Wiebke studied business law and is a mediator. Robin came to hospitality from another world after several years at Volkswagen; his first major project was the Hotel Hessenland.
Then came Assmannshausen. A remarkable house with an Art Nouveau gable and a history reaching back to 1752, the terrace beneath the old wisteria, the Rhine right outside the door, and all around a landscape of quite breathtaking beauty: vineyards, forests, castles above the river.
We feel honoured to carry this house forward. A place where people arrive, let go, slow down and savour. In a world that spins ever faster, that grows more precious by the day.
We are here for the long run. Hotel Schön is a true labour of love for us, and we look forward to every guest who shares it with us.
